We offer a range of therapy and counselling services tailored to the specific needs of the individual. The issues and conditions we help people with include anxiety, panic and phobias, depression and mood disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anger management, grief and bereavement, sleep disorders, and relationship issues.

Online, Virtual, Video & Phone Appointments

In addition to in-person therapy and counselling, we offer online secure video and telephone therapy which can offer the same benefits as in-person sessions. We use a secure platform for virtual sessions, and It is essential that you have a stable internet connection and a private space for your sessions.

We are currently accepting new clients. Before you schedule your first appointment, we kindly request that you complete a quick and secure online intake form to understand your needs better. Once submitted, our intake coordinator will promptly follow up.  Appointments can be held in person, by phone or on secure video platforms. Our availability varies, but we strive to accommodate our community’s needs by offering services promptly and typically do not hold waitlists. Session length is dependent on the type of service provided. The frequency and duration also depend on the type of service and unique needs of each patient. 


Payment & Insurance

Fees and Payment: Our fees depend on the service type you receive.  If you have any further questions about fees, please get in touch with us directly anytime by phone or email - we are here to answer them. To ensure accessibility, we offer a sliding fee scale to qualified clients. We accept credit cards and e-transfers.  

Insurance: Our services are covered through most third-party health insurance plans, including employee benefits and WSIB. If you are using insurance, we recommend verifying your coverage before your first session.  

Cancellation Policy: To ensure the smooth operation of our schedule and provide timely care to all patients, we request that any changes or cancellations to head office appointments be made with at least 24 hours notice. Please note that missed appointments or changes made less than 24 hours in advance will incur a charge. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.  


Initial Consultation

During your first session, we'll discuss your reasons for seeking our services, goals, and any questions you may have. This initial meeting helps us determine the best approach for your unique situation. 


Length of Treatment 

  • How long does therapy typically last? 

  • Is there a fixed number of sessions, or is it open-ended? 

  • How will we know when therapy is complete? 

  • How long do assessments take?

The duration of therapy varies based on the type of service and the individual needs and goals. Some clients progress significantly early in therapy, while others may require longer-term support. Together, we'll assess your progress and determine an appropriate treatment plan and duration and frequency of treatment. The length of time an assessment takes is based on the specific testing conducted.


Medical Referrals & Prescriptions

  • How do you collaborate with medical professionals, if needed?

Referrals: Our services do not require a physician’s referral. However, we accept referrals from various providers and organizations supporting individuals and employees. 

Prescriptions: We do not prescribe medication. However, if medication is a consideration, we can collaborate with your primary care physician or psychiatrist to ensure comprehensive care. 


Client Involvement

Your active participation is crucial for successful therapy. Engaging openly, practicing skills between sessions, and providing feedback help make the most of your therapeutic experience.  


Client Clinician Fit

Recognizing that each person's needs are unique, we prioritize identifying and recommending the best services and the right clinician for your successful treatment. If there is a particular clinician that you wish to see, please let us know when inquiring. Additionally, our supervising psychologists will work to match you with the member of our clinical team that best fits your treatment needs.


Children & Adolescents

  • Do you work with kids and teenagers? 

  • How do you involve parents/guardians in the therapy process?

Yes, we work with children and adolescents. We involve parents/guardians in the process to ensure the best outcomes. However, depending on the situation, some sessions may be conducted with the child or adolescent alone.  Please read more here.


Cultural Sensitivity, Diversity  & Inclusion

Confidentiality & Privacy

Confidentiality: Your confidentiality is a priority. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines to ensure your personal information remains private. However, there are certain situations where confidentiality may need to be breached to ensure your safety or the safety of others.

Insurers and Third-Parties Seeking Patient Information and Records: We adhere to a strict privacy policy concerning requests from insurers and third parties seeking patient information and records to protect our patients' confidentiality and personal information. Any insurance provider seeking verification of patient receipts for clinical services must submit a copy of the receipt(s) in question accompanied by the patient's authorization to consent to disclosure of personal information. Insurers must present the original signed Consent Form and any receipts, which must be mailed to our head office in hardcopy. We do not accept emails or faxes of such documents.


Testimonials & Success Stories

While we have seen clients make meaningful progress in various areas, we prioritize client confidentiality and do not share testimonials or stories. Your therapist will work with you to set and achieve your goals. 


COVID-19 Policy

Emergency Situations

  • Carefully note that we operate during regular business hours and are not an emergency crisis center.
