Scott Gosse, M.A., C.Psych.

Scott Gosse, M.A., C.Psych. is the Director and Chief Psychologist of Mills | Gosse Psychology. He is a Registered Clinical Psychologist, licensed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He holds a Master’s degree in counselling psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. With over 15 years of clinical practice, he has extensive experience working with various clinical populations, including psychological assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults in clinical, counselling, medical-legal, and rehabilitation environments. He conducts psycho-educational assessments for children and adolescents and comprehensive developmental and personality assessments for a wide range of clinical populations. He is a professional psychological assessor, counsellor, and therapist at our head office in Ajax, Ontario, serving the Region of Durham and Greater Toronto. Also, he spends much of his time training clinicians and providing clinical consultation and supervision.

Jon Mills, Ph.D., Psy.D., ABPP

Jon Mills was the founding and senior partner at Mills | Gosse Psychology and is now retired from clinical practice. He is on the Faculty of Postgraduate Programs in Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy, Gordon F. Derner School of Psychology, Adelphi University, USA; International Member, Comparative Psychoanalysis Research Group, Department of Psychosocial & Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, UK; and Emeritus Professor of Psychology & Psychoanalysis at the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. He is an internationally recognized scholar and teacher, maintains an active writing schedule, and lectures widely worldwide.

Psychologist Ontario

Sabrina McHugh-Thomas, M.A., C. Psych.

Sabrina McHugh-Thomas is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Sabrina earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Sabrina provides treatment for children, adolescents and adults with diverse presenting concerns, including trauma, anxiety and depression. Sabrina conducts psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents who experience learning, attention, behavioural and socioemotional difficulties. She also performs post-MVA and WSIB psychological assessments. Tailoring her approach to the unique needs of each client, she uses various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mindfulness. In her therapeutic work, Sabrina strives to create an environment where clients feel safe, valued and empowered on their journey toward healing. As an assessor, Sabrina endeavours to comprehensively understand every client’s needs to ensure they receive the necessary support to optimize their success and recovery.

Black Psychologist

Cindy Manohararaj, M.Div, RP

Cindy Manohararaj is a Registered Psychotherapist focusing on the treatment of adolescents and adults. She is a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She earned her Master of Divinity - Counseling from Tyndale University. Cindy has extensive experience working with individuals, primarily WSIB clients, who present with a variety of issues, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), sleep disturbance, pain management, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, self-esteem, boundary issues and assertive communication. Similarly, she also treats clients who have experienced Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) that present with a variety of issues, including but not limited to driving anxiety, trauma and grief. In addition, she has treated clients of diverse backgrounds and populations, including couples, as a past Volunteer Counselor at the Salvation Army Family and Community Services in Oshawa, as well as a past volunteer and trainer of other volunteers at The Distress Centre suicide helpline aiding in a variety of issues including crisis management and suicide. She has experience with a variety of therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), among others.

Bipoc Psychotherapist

Shawna MacKellar, M.Ed.

Shawna MacKellar is a psychometrist and clinical assessor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She received her Master of Education from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton and is currently a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists (OACCPP). Through her work in school boards, clinics, and hospitals both in Canada and the United States, Shawna has nearly 20 years of experience conducting psychoeducational assessments; she concentrates on the evaluation and identification of learning and intellectual disabilities, behaviour difficulties such as ADHD, as well as mood-related difficulties such as anxiety and depression. Shawna employs a strength-based approach to the assessment process. She strives to ensure that her client's needs are adequately understood and appropriately supported by those directly involved in their care.

Psychoeducational Assessment

Simran Narula, M.A., CPT, RP

Simran Narula is a registered psychotherapist, counsellor, and clinical assessor who focuses on treating adults, couples, children, teens and their families. She received her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counselling from Medaille College, has been trained in multimodal approaches to psychotherapy, and has specialty certification in play therapy through the Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapy (CACPT). Simran concentrates on working with the effects of trauma, from adults to children, including those suffering from posttraumatic experience, conducting post-MVA and WSIB psychological assessments and treatment, vocational assessments and career counselling, and psychoeducational assessments. She conducts cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), anger management counselling, and sleep hygiene, and works with children on the Autism Spectrum through Intensive Behaviour Interventions (IBI). Clinical services are conducted in English, Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi.

Culturally inclusive therapy

Janna Comrie, M.A., RP

Janna Comrie is both a registered psychotherapist and cognitive researcher. She received her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She pursued doctoral studies in Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Sciences at York University in Toronto. She is a registered member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists (OACCPP). She focuses on treating youth, adults, couples, and families dealing with a variety of adjustment, relationship, and psychological challenges, including difficulties with communication, boundaries, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual issues, addictions or substance abuse, sleep problems, and eating disorders.

Black Therapist

Diane Wolf, MBA, M.Div., RP

Diane Wolf is a psychotherapist focusing on the treatment of adults. She is a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She holds a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University in Toronto and an MBA. Diane has extensive experience working primarily with WSIB clients who present with a variety of issues, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, boundary issues, and sleep disturbance. She also works with clients who have experienced Motor Vehicle Accidents and struggle with driving anxiety, trauma, and grief. Before becoming a psychotherapist, she taught in the Business Administration department at Trent University in Peterborough. She travelled extensively, delivering workshops on communication and leadership topics in many countries. Diane studied neurophysiological psychology for her first degree (B.Sc Honours in Psychology) and brought her love of neuroscience to her work as a therapist. She uses a variety of therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure, Polyvagal Theory for Psychoeducation, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). She also has additional training in Trauma work and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Diane brings a warm and empathetic personality to her work and is passionate about helping people experience growth after traumatic experiences.
