About Therapy for Children
Ages 6-17
At Mills Gosse Psychology, many clinicians are trained to assess and treat children, teens, and their families. We understand that it can be difficult for parents to find psychological services to address concerns for their children, and we are here to help. Depending on a child’s age, it is typically most helpful that the first session be scheduled with the parent(s) to take time to evaluate the concerns from the perspective of the child’s caregivers. From there, sessions will be set up with the child themselves, based on the recommendations of the clinician, along with input from parents.
About Therapy for Adults
Ages 18+
Mills Gosse Psychology is made up of a diverse and compassionate team of highly trained clinicians committed to providing timely and accessible psychological services. As one of the leading practices in the Durham Region, we have a strong reputation for providing high-quality, individualized services specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs. Our team of clinicians can assist you with a wide range of presenting problems and concerns, utilizing several current and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Common Conditions & Challenges Addressed in Therapy
Psychological treatment services may be conducted by qualified therapists under supervision, and may not be performed by a psychologist directly. While this is a common and widely accepted practice, some insurance plans do not cover such services; therefore, you must inquire with your insurance provider to determine coverage.
